LMS Content Editor (WYSIWYG)

WYSIWYG = What you see is what you get

With Ally, the LMS Content Editor now provides real-time feedback on the accessibility status of your Moodle-based course content. Ally’s accessibility score icon is only visible when you create or edit content. You need to be in edit mode to see the score on your WYSIWYG-built content. As you type or make changes, the Ally score updates immediately. Scores range from Low to Perfect. The higher the score the fewer the issues.

When creating or editing content in Moodle, you should see an accessibility score in the top right corner above the rich-text editor:

A text editor toolbar with various formatting options.

Here's a summary of what the scores mean:

  • Low: File is not accessible and needs immediate attention.

  • Medium: File is somewhat accessible and could use improvement.

  • High: File is accessible but could be improved.

  • Perfect: File is accessible. No improvement needed.
