Ally: Course Accessibility Report

Anthology Ally helps build inclusive environments and makes digital content more accessible for all.

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to describe the function and use cases for Anthology Ally. Ally is Cochise College's accessibility tool built into Moodle (as of Summer 2025).

Procedure

Anthology Ally includes the following:

  • Alternative Formats - Visible to all users with access to the course

  • Course Accessibility Report - Visible to instructors and evaluators

  • LMS Content Editor (WYSIWYG) - Visible to instructors and other content editor roles

  • Institutional Report - Visible to administrators

Viewing your Moodle Course's Accessibility Report

  1. Within your course in Moodle, select "Reports"

  2. Select "Accessibility report"

  3. This will open a new page with your Course Accessibility Report. The course accessibility report includes the following:

    1. The Overview tab shows the accessibility score for the course, course content grouped by content type, and a list of all issues identified in the course

    2. The Content tab shows you the content with accessibility issues.

      A course accessibility report with a 54% score, a pie chart, issue summaries, and options to fix or confirm issues.
