Respondus LDB Help for Students

Purpose

This article provides helpful information about the Respondus LockDown Browser.

Procedure

NOTE: The Help Center tab has a wealth of information, including a video on how to use LockDown Browser under the Knowledge Base link.

  1. It is recommended that you take a Practice Quiz using Respondus LDB if your instructor has provided one.

  2. Prior to Taking a Quiz with Respondus LDB:

    1. Before taking the actual quiz, it is a good idea to click on the Help Center tab located at the top left corner of the page once you are in Respondus LDB. This will enable you to conduct a diagnostic test, webcam check, etc. and identify any issues before actually taking the quiz.

    2. Make sure you have the most recent version of LockDown Browser by clicking on the (i) in the toolbar to update.

  3. If you do experience a problem during the pre-exam steps, look for the It’s not working link.

  4. For additional information about using Respondus LDB in Moodle, click on the following link and then select Moodle from the list: https://web.respondus.com/student-help/
