This article describes the process of downloading the Respondus LockDown Browser and starting an exam.

Some of your online exams may require the Respondus LockDown Browser. To take that test, you must download the browser before you'll be able to attempt the test.

Please note the following steps to install the browser:

First, go to your course in Moodle using your normal browser, such as Chrome or Firefox. You'll see the LockDown Browser message like the one below.

(If you already have the Respondus LockDown Browser installed, you will not have to install it again -- just click Launch LockDown Browser and begin the exam).

Click on Download LockDown Browser to start the download. Be sure to click on the download and follow the steps to install the browser.

Once installed, go back to your Moodle exam and click Launch LockDown Browser to start your exam.
