Purpose
Your Cybersecurity course may require you to use the VLE to access VMs. Please refer to the document below to walk you through logging in and any errors you might encounter.
If you have issues beyond what is addressed in the document, you should reach out to your instructor.
VLE: Virtual Learning Environment
The VLE is a tool frequently used by the Cybersecurity Department to provide students easy access to the Virtual Machines (VMs) they need for classwork.
Accessing the VLE
To access their provisioned VMs, students need to navigate to Cyber Portal and log in with their Cochise College credentials.
Common Issues:
Students must use the “MyCochise” Authenticator when logging in with their school credentials.
If the student has been given a unique username/password from their instructor, they will need to use the “CYBER” Authenticator. (This is infrequent, but those credentials are given out for use in special circumstances.)
If a student has changed their password for their Cochise College-issued credentials, they will not be able to log into the VLE for up to 24 hours. Once they change their password the bridge between the systems is broken and the systems only sync at about 8:30 am each day. They will have to wait until that sync for it to be repaired.
Remediation of issues:
Any issues with the VLE beyond verifying that they are using the correct login info should be addressed to their instructor directly.
