Unpair Pearson MyLab from Moodle Course

Purpose

This article describes the process of Unpairing MyLab from a Moodle course.

Procedure

Pearson provides instructions that you might prefer over the information provided in this document.


Use this process if you accidentally linked the wrong MLM course to your Moodle course. Please note that Pearson does not recommend you delete the courses within your MLM website. Instead, unlink the MLM course in Moodle by following the instructions below.

Important Warnings From Pearson MyLab & Mastering:

  • All student activity in the course will be deleted! If the course has already started and student grades are present, you’ll have to download a copy of the Moodle gradebook!

  • If you need a copy of the MLM course that you are about to unlink, first make an extra copy of it on your MLM website. This process will delete it from your MLM account. If you delete a course at the MLM site, it cannot be undone!

  1. Log in to your Moodle course and click on MyLab and Mastering Tools.

  2. Click on the link, Get help and support.

  3. Click on the Get Diagnostics button.

  4. Scroll down until you find Delete MyLab & Mastering course and association…. Click that link to unlink your MLM course to this Moodle course.
    Be certain you understand the warnings at the top of this document before you click!
