Note

This is not a tutorial on how to use Class.

Check out the product training library for more tutorials.

Procedures

Add the Class app resource to a Moodle course. Add only one instance of this link for the entire course.

Toggle Edit Mode to ON

Click on +Add an activity or resource.

Choose Class for Zoom

Title the activity for your students. Identify it as the link to access your live class times.

Click on the Save and return to course button at the bottom of the page.

Click on the link on your course page.

Give it a little time to load.

If this is your first time using the Class.com app, you’ll need to Allow the app to access your Zoom profile.

You may need to click through a couple of screens to log in to your Zoom account first.

Then you will be prompted with the

Class 🔁 Zoom permission screen.

This is a one-time event.

When you see the Success! notice, return to the Moodle page.

Click on the refresh button on your browser window to reload the display.

Download the Class App

If you are using Class for Zoom in a campus classroom, you should not need to complete the steps for downloading and installing.

If you plan to host the live session on your office computer or from home, click the download link to install the app for the first time.

You won’t need to install it again unless you host Class from another PC that does not have the app installed.

Click on the file you downloaded and install the app.

Add the Sessions

After installing, return to this Class page in the course and set up your course details and dates.

Click on the Add Class Dates button.

Adding sessions is very similar to setting up recurring Zoom sessions.

Select the days of the week.

Select the start and end times.

Select the time zone (this should be America/Phoenix).

The list of sessions will appear in the window. If any fall on a holiday, delete them.

Next, click on the Save button.

You can edit a session individually, including the Topic for a given section.

Return to the Moodle course page

Click on the link in your course when you are ready to begin a live session.

Click on the Launch button.
