Add a Block

Learn how to add an item to your Moodle course's Blocks drawer

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how to add blocks to the course side navigation pane for improved resource access and management

Procedure

  1. Toggle Edit Mode to on at the upper right of the course page

  2. Click on Add a block

    Edit Mode toggle On and Add a block link displayed

  3. Click on your desired selection from the blocks list. The new item will automatically appear at or near the bottom of the blocks drawer on the right side of your course page

  4. You can also configure your newly added block item by clicking on its gear icon

Note

Because of a mobile device layout, he right column usually shows at the bottom of the course page. Check your course's visibility on a computer, mobile phone, and tablet to learn how students may see your content.
