Quiz: Basics

Use the Moodle Quiz module to create either low-stakes or high-stakes quizzes and exams.

Purpose

This series is designed for instructors with no prior experience with creating Moodle quizzes/exams.

Procedure

To Add a Quiz

Toggle Edit Mode to on.

Edit mode button.

Click on the + sign in the section you want the quiz and select Activity or resource.

Select the quiz tile.

Fill out the quiz name, description/instructions, and check the Display description box if you want the description to show up on your course page.

Click Save and display.

Click the Add question button.

On the right-hand side, you will see the word Add which is a drop-down menu.

Select an option: a new question, from question bank, or a random question.

If selecting from question bank, find and select your questions (that you must have already created) by clicking the checkbox next to the question.

Click Add selected questions to quiz.

Adjust the point value if required.
