Quiz: Basics

Use the Moodle Quiz module to create either low-stakes or high-stakes quizzes and exams.

Purpose

This series is designed for instructors with no prior experience with creating Moodle quizzes/exams.

Procedure

To Add a Quiz

Toggle Edit Mode to On.

Click on "+add an activity or resource" in the section you want the quiz.

Select "quiz"

Fill out the quiz name and adjust any setting you want to.

Click on "save and display" at the bottom of the page.

Click the "Add question" button

On the right-hand side, you will see the word Add, which is a drop-down

Select an option: a new question, from question bank, or a random question.

If selecting from question bank: find and select your questions by clicking on the checkbox next to the question.

Click "add selected questions to quiz"

Adjust the point value if required.

Adjust Maximum grade if required. Click on “Save.”
