Resubmitting Assignment Materials

Learn how to resubmit an assignment after an instructor reset.

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how to remove a submitted assignment and resubmit a new assignment.

Procedures

  1. From your course, click on the assignment you want to resubmit materials for. In the Submission status, it should show up as a Draft (not submitted). If your assignment does not show Draft, please reach out to your instructor.

  2. If you need to submit an additional document, click on Edit submission and follow the prompts to upload another file.

  3. Click the File icon. It's a circle with a + sign in the middle.

  4. Click the Upload a file button and then the Choose file button. Select the file from your computer.

  5. The file name will appear next to the Choose file button. Click the Upload this file button at the bottom of the File picker screen.

  6. Click the Save Changes button.

  7. Click Submit assignment and then click the Continue button on the next screen.

Remove (and replace) Submission

  1. If you want to remove your old submission and replace it with a new file, click the Remove submission button.

  2. Click Continue to confirm that you want to remove the old file.

  3. You’ll then return to the screen where you can upload a new file just like you did when you first submitted the assignment.

  4. Click the Choose File button and select the file from your computer's File Manager. The file name will then appear next to the Choose file button.

  5. Click the Upload this file button at the bottom of the File picker screen and save your changes.

  6. Submit the assignment as you normally would.
