Activity Completion: Bulk Edit

This demonstrates how to change activity completion settings in bulk.

Purpose

This article explains how to change course activity completion requirements in bulk rather than one at a time.

Procedure

Modify Default Activity Completion Settings

  • Click the More link under the course banner and click the Course Completion menu option.

  • Click the drop-down and select Default Activity Completion.

  • Mark the box to the left of the Activity or Resource type that you want to modify.

  • Click on, Edit at the top or bottom of the page.

  • Select desired default activity completion settings for activities such as, Completion tracking, Require view, Require grade and Expect completed on.

  • Click the Save changes button when you are finished.

Edit Completion settings on existing activities

  • The Bulk Edit Activity Completion option in the dropdown menu allows you to make changes to existing activities in your course.

  • Mark the box to the left of the activity name.

  • Click the Edit button at the top or bottom of the page.

  • On the next screen, choose desired completion options for the selected activities.
