Due Dates and Completion Conditions

Learn how to set assignment due dates and completion conditions

Updated over 7 months ago

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the steps for setting assignment due dates and activity completion requirements.

The Moodle course page can display Due Dates and Activity Completion Conditions (“Mark as done” button) on the course page. It is easy to disable one or both settings.

You can prevent the information from showing if you feel it clutters up your course page. It will continue to be available on the individual activity pages.

Example of how the information appears on the course main page:

A student portal showing a list of assignments and quizzes with due dates and activity completion conditions highlighted.

Note

Some resources will not be affected by the update made to the settings. They will continue to show the “Mark as done” button. Examples: PDF, Docx
