Procedures
Add a new scale
A scale is an ordered list of marks or text values, ranging from negative to positive (e.g. "Sub-standard, Less than satisfactory, Satisfactory, Good, Very good, Excellent!β), that can be used as a marking strategy for an assessment task.
Click on Grades
Click on the dropdown menu and select Scales
Click on the Add a new scale button
On the Scale page, give your new scale a title in the Name field
Next, enter the terms of the Scale. Each term must be separated by a comma
Use the most negative rating first and continue until the last item is the most positive rating
Click Save changes
Your scale will appear on the Scales page in the Custom scales section. You will be able to edit or delete it. It will also display as a grading option when you configure an activity.
