Quickmail Configuration: Recipient Picker Style

Change the appearance of Quickmails Compose Message Screen

Purpose

This article describes the Quickmail Configuration menu options.

Procedure

If so desired, you can modify the Recipient Picker style on the Compose Message screen.

In the Quickmail Configuration menu, you can choose the appearance of the Compose Message screen. The Recipient Picker can be set to Autocomplete or Multiselect.

Autocomplete gives the options in a dropdown menu style.

Multiselect style: Select recipients from the box on the right.  Click the “Add” button in the middle of the page.

How to change the appearance of the Compose Message screen

Locate your Quickmail block in the right column of your course.

Click on, Configuration.

(Note: If Quickmail is missing from the blocks column, Turn editing on, scroll to the bottom of your left navigation menu and click on, Add a block. Click on, Quickmail from the list, and it will be added to your right column.)

  • By default, the Instructor and Student roles are already selected in the Selectable roles dropdown menu. They should be the only roles you need, so you shouldn’t need to modify that option on this page.

  • Choose either Autocomplete, or Multiselect, for the Recipient Picker Style. Refer to the example screenshots on the previous page.

  • Click on, Save preferences when you are finished.

  • If you made changes on this page, you would see the difference the next time you start a new message in Quickmail.
