Purpose
This article outlines the steps to view Quiz Statics for an individual quiz.
Background
Quiz Statistics will provide you with an analysis of a completed quiz and the questions within it. It can be useful information if you want to gain a deeper understanding of how effective the questions are.
The full report (overview and detailed analysis of all questions) can be downloaded in various formats, as can the quiz structure analysis table.
Procedure
To view statistics on quiz questions, click on your quiz on the course page.
Click on the Results tab
Select Statistics from the dropdown menu.
Generate different statistics based on a specified condition. For example, you can generate a report for Highest Graded Attempt or All Attempts. Make your selection and click the Show Report button to generate the results.
Scroll down to the list of questions to review the statistics.
Refer to the Facility Index to find the percentage of students that got the question right. The Moodle definition of Facility Index: The facility index represents the number of students who got the question correct (or partially correct if you have questions with multiple correct answers). The facility index is determined by the average score divided by the maximum score and represented as a percentage.
Note:
If you are using random questions in your quizzes, you may need to click on the View Details link located in the Range of Statistics for These Questions. You may have more than one “View details” link if you have used questions from more than one category in your course Question Bank.
