How to contact your previous expert and continue working with them on additional requests

Updated over a week ago

Whether you're in the middle of a project or have already completed a project, your expert is happy to help you with additional work you may need to be done.

There are 3 ways to contact your expert:

  1. If this is a new un-related request, you may wish to post a new project and include your expert's name in the 'Preferred Expert' field of the submission form.

This will help to keep each project and communication thread separate and maintain a neat and tidy workroom.

  2. If this request is related to an existing project (i.e. needing additional work done on the same website), you can message your expert in the project and choose to continue working inside of the same project via 'Additional Task', which is like a sub-task inside of the main project. Just so you know – only your expert can create additional tasks.

To do this, you'll want to post a new comment inside of your project workroom to contact your expert and inform them of the new work that is needed.

  3. You can find your expert inside our expert directory and click the "Hire Me" button inside their profile.

Even if a project is already marked as complete, the workroom remains open and active and any new comments you post will initiate a notification to your expert alerting them of the new comment.

Your expert will then check in with you to look over the scope of work needed and after it is properly defined and understood, will indicate the price for you to have the work done.

After you confirm and agree on the additional work, your expert will then create an 'Additional Task' inside of the project which you will then be prompted to deposit safely into escrow using a credit card or PayPal.

If you have any questions about Additional Tasks or how to continue working with your expert on new requests, please message us in support and we'll be happy to help :)
