The import and export of 2FA (two-factor authentication) accounts involve transferring authentication data between different devices or authenticator apps. Here's how it generally works:

Exporting 2FA Accounts:

  1. Open Authenticator App: Launch the authenticator app on your device.

  2. Access Settings: Navigate to the settings or options menu within the authenticator app. Look for an option called “import/export”

  3. Select Export Accounts: Choose the option to export accounts or generate an export file.

  4. Generate Export File: The app will generate a file containing the encrypted authentication data for all your 2FA accounts.

  5. Save Export File: Choose a location to save the export file, such as your device's internal storage, cloud storage, or an external storage device. Make sure to store it securely and avoid sharing it with unauthorized parties.

Importing 2FA Accounts:

  1. Open Authenticator App: Launch the authenticator app on the device where you want to import the 2FA accounts.

  2. Access Settings: Navigate to the settings within the authenticator app and click import.

  3. Select Import Accounts: Choose the option to import accounts or import from a file. This action may require you to locate the export file containing the authentication data.

  4. Locate Export File: Browse to the location where you saved the export file containing the authentication data. Select the file to initiate the import process.

By following these steps, you can securely export and import your 2FA accounts between different devices or authenticator apps, ensuring seamless access to your accounts while maintaining security. please don't hesitate to contact our support team if you have any questions: codenhagen.io@gmail.com
