Once students have completed their assignments, they should notify the teacher of completion by going to the Education->Mark as Completed menu item within the IDE. The teacher is then able to see whose project is ready to be graded. To assign comments or a grade, Teachers Grading needs to be enabled. Due to the weighting feature, we only allow numeric grades.
Inside Teacher Grading options, you could also enable the Rubrics option where you can select Rubric Templates for grading.
There are two ways to assign manual grade.
Click on Courses on the left-hand side of your screen and select the course you want to preview.
Go to the Edit tab.
Click on the Assignment.
If the Progress tab, underneath the assignment name, is not selected - click on it.
You will see a checkmark next to those students who have completed the assignment.
Option 1:
Click on the buttons in the Grade column to open the grading dialog box.
Click on Add Grade then you can add/modify the comments and grade fields for any individual student then click on Done.
If you are using a Rubric Template, this will present as you click on the grade field.
Option 2:
Click on the 3 blue dots on the extreme right of the student's name then click on the Open the project.
Go to Education -> Grading, click on Add Grade then you can add/modify the comments and grade fields for any individual student then click on Done.
You could also manually override the Final Grade using the Override Grade button shown in the above picture, please refer to this article for more details.
Note: By default, students are not shown the grades until you decide to release them to the course.
