Unanswered Question Logs

The Unanswered Question Logs feature automatically captures any user questions your bot couldn’t answer. These logs give you a powerful way to review where your bot’s knowledge is lacking - and take action to improve it over time.

When enabled, this premium feature records every instance where a user asks your bot a question that it cannot respond to. These unanswered queries are stored in your dashboard so you can review them later.

This feature is available only to users on the premium or advanced subscription tiers. If you’re on a basic plan, you won’t be able to use this feature in the dashboard. Once you enable Unanswered Question Logs, every user question that your bot can’t answer will be logged automatically - no manual setup needed beyond toggling the feature on.

Head to the Logs tab of your app’s dashboard. There you’ll find a dedicated section for Unanswered Questions where you can browse, filter, and answer these entries.

By regularly reviewing the logs you can:

- Identify gaps in your bot’s knowledge base.

- Add new answers or training data to cover those gaps.

- Continuously improve your bot’s accuracy and response coverage.

1. Go to the Bots tab, locate your bot, click the 3 dots and click edit.

2. Relevant settings

Name, Model and Token budget are required.
Personality - Factual bot
Handling Unanswered Questions - Nothing
Log Unanswered Questions - Use the Toggle switch.

3. Now once your bot encounters unanswerable questions, they will show up in the Logs tab, beside conversations.

​Note: It will take some time after the user has finished interacting with the bot, for background processes to extract unanswered questions from any conversation.

When the system analyzes a conversation to extract unanswered questions, it uses credits based on the length and complexity of that conversation. Short chats can consume 1 credit, for example, while longer transcripts can use up to 10 credits per analysis.
