For those instances when you require Cody to generate highly specialized responses based on specific documents, we're excited to introduce a new feature: Focus Mode.
What Can Focus Mode Do?
In Focus Mode, Cody will focus entirely on the documents you've selected for generating responses, rather than pulling data from various documents in your knowledge base. This puts you in control, allowing for macro-adjustments to Cody's knowledge. The feature is especially useful for:
Summarization
Rephrasing
Outlining
Review
And much more...
How to Activate Focus Mode
Once your bot is operational, initiate a new conversation. You'll notice the Focus Mode icon on the right sidebar.
Choosing Documents for Focus Mode
After activating Focus Mode, you'll be prompted to select the documents you'd like Cody to focus on. These will be sourced from the folder you've designated in your bot settings. Each document will display its token consumption, which is important to note as token limitations apply.
Token Limitations
If your selected documents exceed the token limit, Cody will revert to Semantic Search for generating responses, which may decrease the specificity of the responses.
Focus Mode and Advanced Bot Builder
All pre-existing settings and properties from your Advanced Bot Builder will be applied when using Focus Mode. To increase the token limit for your documents, you can adjust the token distribution settings for context within the bot configuration. The token limit is determined by the Context Window size of the selected GPT model and the tokens allocated for context.
