Running Tasks

Running a task instructs Cognibuild to generate content for a specific section of a deliverable.

Each task represents a structured instruction that tells the platform how to analyse the supporting documentation and produce relevant documentation for that section.

When a task is run, Cognibuild processes the uploaded supporting documents and generates structured output that contributes to the overall deliverable.

How Running a Task Works

After selecting a deliverable and choosing the relevant tasks, users can run those tasks to begin generating documentation.

When a task is run, Cognibuild:

  • analyses the supporting documentation uploaded to the project

  • interprets the task instructions associated with the selected task

  • generates structured content for that part of the deliverable

The generated output is then added to the document where it can be reviewed and refined by the user.

Tasks Generate Sections of Documentation

Each task focuses on a specific area of the deliverable.

Because deliverables are broken into structured tasks, users can generate documentation in smaller sections rather than attempting to generate an entire document at once.

This allows users to build documentation progressively by running tasks that are relevant to their project.

Reviewing Task Outputs

After a task has been run, the generated output appears within the deliverable.

Users can review the content, refine their inputs if needed, and rerun tasks to improve or update the generated documentation.

This allows the document to evolve as the project develops.

Tasks and Iteration

Project documentation is often developed through multiple iterations.

Users may run a task, review the generated output, refine their supporting documentation or context, and rerun the task to improve the results.

This iterative process helps users progressively build and refine their deliverables.
