What file types can I upload to Cognibuild?

Learn which file formats can be uploaded to Cognibuild and used to support project documentation analysis.

Cognibuild currently supports text-based project documentation. Users can upload documents that contain readable text which can be analysed by the platform when generating deliverables or interacting with documentation through document chat.

The platform currently supports the following document format:

• PDF documents

When a document is uploaded, Cognibuild analyses the text within the file to determine whether it can be used for AI-powered tasks.

If the document contains readable text, it will be processed and marked as Ready for AI, meaning it can be used when running tasks or chatting with your documentation.

If the system is unable to extract usable text from the document, the upload may fail or the document will not be available for AI-powered processing.

This typically occurs when files contain little or no readable text, such as scanned documents or image-only files.

PDF documents that include both text and images can still be uploaded. Cognibuild will analyse the text within the document while ignoring images that cannot be processed.

Getting started

Create a project, upload your project documentation, and ensure your files are marked Ready for AI before running tasks on them.
