🌟Highlights

Timer for Choose Your Adventure template

If you’re using the Choose Your Adventure template, you can now add a Timer for specific Activities. Put your users (eg. research participants) to the test by increasing the difficulty level of your Activity. Time-based Activities can drive quick thinking and decision-making.

Dashboard layout configurability for Mobile and Web apps

Previously, changes you make for Mobile/ Web, would automatically apply to the other. With the addition of Layout on the Dashboard page within Creator, you can create separate configurations for Mobile and Web apps. For both types of apps, you can apply:

1) different widgets and,

2) a different order of widgets.

When you are setting this up, keep in mind that the user experience is different on Mobile and Web devices.

To get started, go to Creator>Dashboard and click on the Layout button, which is next to Add a Widget button.

Other notable improvements & updates:

  • Introduced a new admin role, App Analyst: Anyone on your team who is assigned this role, has the ability to view all app data, including Cogniss Insights’ user activity data. They also have view-only access to your app’s content within Creator and your app’s settings. It is a useful role, especially if you want someone on your team to access and download your users’ activity data, as well as preview the content and settings of your app, without editing your app.

  • Improved UX for Views: When you create a new View, the Title and Button Label are already pre-filled for you. In fact, you can easily archive Views you no longer need by clicking on Archive from the More button. We have also increased the number of Views allowed per Topic (from 25 to 30) and number of Content blocks allowed per View (from 20 to 25).

  • Improved Newsfeed interface & moderation function: Admins and moderators (platform and app level) can hide unwanted posts and users from your app’s Newsfeed. Admins and moderators also have access to more detailed information about reported posts and users. This improves the overall experience of the team managing your app’s Newsfeed. In addition to the above, users of your app can hide posts and other users from their personal Newsfeed, and report users who are posting inappropriate content.
