Introduction
We understand the importance of creating a safe and enjoyable environment for users within your community forums. That's why we have moderation features to empower app creators to maintain a positive atmosphere. In this guide, we'll provide you with an overview of the key features and functionalities of our moderation system, helping you effectively manage your community.
User Report and Block Feature
The user moderation feature enables community members to actively monitor and report posts and comments, ensuring a safe environment. Users can also block specific individuals to prevent interactions with those who may compromise the community's positivity. This functionality empowers users to contribute to the maintenance of a safe and welcoming space for all community members.
Blocking Users from Newsfeed:
Users have the capability to block other users from appearing in their community feed, ensuring they have control over their own experience. This means that all content generated by the blocked user, including posts and comments, will be hidden from view.
Blocking Specific Content:
Users can block specific posts or comments they find objectionable, further customizing their community experience. Once blocked, the selected content will no longer be visible to the user who initiated the block.
Reporting Users:
Users have the ability to report other users whose behavior violates community guidelines, prompting moderators to review and take necessary action
Reporting Content:
Users can report any inappropriate content they encounter, enabling moderators to maintain a positive environment within the community
Moderator Features
Cogniss provides app creators with essential functionalities to effectively manage and moderate their community forums. Moderators have the ability to review reported users and content, ensuring that community guidelines are upheld and a positive environment is maintained.
Moderator roles
Within the moderation framework, there are four distinct user roles, each with varying levels of access and moderation capabilities:
Platform Admin and Platform Moderator:
These users possess full access to user data and have the authority to block users from the platform entirely. They are empowered to moderate both users and content across the entire platform.
App Admin and App Moderator:
App admins and moderators are tasked with moderating users and content within the app's specific configuration. While they do not have access to all user data, they can still hide content or users as necessary to maintain a positive environment.
The moderator role, although confined to the app's configuration, is specifically tailored to carry out moderation duties effectively, ensuring that the community remains safe and respectful.

Reviewing Reported Users and Content
As the app creator or designated moderator, you have access to reported user and content from App creator > Posts > Reported tab. This allows you to review reported users and content and take appropriate action to maintain the integrity of your community.
Review reported user: You can choose to hide a user's content from the community while still allowing them to post and comment. This action helps in managing disruptive behavior without completely blocking the user.
βReview reported content: You can also review reported content within the community forum. Based on the nature of the content, you can choose to hide it from all users to maintain a positive and respectful environment.
