Step 1: Approve Existing Grades

  • Before importing new submissions, make sure to approve any assignments you've already graded

  • This prevents existing grades from being reset during the sync

Step 2: Delete Ungraded Submissions

  • Navigate to your assignment dashboard

  • Remove any pending submissions that weren't graded (these are typically empty placeholders for students who hadn't submitted yet)

Step 3: Sync New Submissions

  • Click the "Sync" button to import the new late submissions

  • Only new submissions will be imported, while your approved grades remain unchanged

Alternative Method: Syncing Individual Changes If you need to sync changes to an existing submission:

  1. Open the submission in the feedback edit screen

  2. Click the "Sync" button to pull in the latest version

Tips

  • Always approve grades before syncing new submissions

  • You can sync multiple times as new late work comes in

  • Previously approved grades won't be affected by syncing
