Understanding the Cash Statement

Updated over 2 months ago

The Cash Statement is a detailed report of all fiat (AUD) cash movements in and out of your client’s Coinstash SMSF account.

It helps accountants and auditors reconcile real-money flows for the financial year and verify that all trades and activities are supported by matching deposits or withdrawals.

What’s Included in the Cash Statement?

  • Date of each deposit or withdrawal

  • Description (e.g. Deposit in, Withdrawal, Trade, Trade Fees, Commission, Bonus)

  • Amount in/out

  • Running balance

  • Bank reference or ID (when available)

Use Cases

  • Verifying source of funds and real-world cash flow

  • Reconciliation of crypto purchases to AUD deposits

  • Audit trail support for the SMSF’s cash ledger

  • Cross-referencing with client bank statements or BGL

Where to Find It

  • Log in to the Adviser Portal

  • Select the relevant client

  • Download the Cash Statement for the selected financial year

Notes

  • The report only includes AUD movements (not crypto-to-crypto activity)

  • It’s separate from the transaction history, which tracks trades and asset activity

  • Report is available to advisers with view-only access
