With comments, you can easily mention users and bring their attention to the conversation.

Here's how it works:

  1. Start typing a comment

  2. In your input field, type the "@" followed by the name of the person you want to mention

  3. User names will automatically appear in a dropdown menu

  4. When you save your comment, the mentioned user will receive a email notification letting them know they've been tagged

Collaborator Suggestion List

As you type, you'll see a list of your previously added collaborators to choose from.You can quickly select the right collaborator from the list and keep moving.This way, you will reduce mistakes like tagging the wrong person or misspelling names.

Who can be mentioned?

You can mention any user who has been added to that specific Topic. Also if user has Editor or Commenter role on Cluster, he will be able to mention other users within Topics inside that cluster.

Mention collaborators from Slack

If you have connected your Slack workspace with Collabwriting, you'll be able to directly mention your Slack teammates.

Mention users by email

If you want to add external users you could do so by mentioning them by email. This will send them an email with snippet text and instructions to register.

Here's how it works:

  1. Start typing a comment

  2. In your input field, type the "@" followed by the email address of the person you want to mention

  3. You will have an option to choose the role that you want to assign to a person

  4. When you save your comment, the user will receive an email letting them know they've been tagged.

Only mention

There were 3 roles you could assign to a collaborator. Now we have added a new one.

Only mention will allow you to mention people without sharing the entire Topic with them. They will receive notification on their email with a snippet details and an option to locate it.
