Transferring (or porting in) a number to Collegiate Mobile
Switching to Collegiate Mobile? It’s easy! If you’ve set up your Collegiate Mobile account and activated your device, you’re just a few steps away from transferring your number. Here’s a quick guide to make the process smooth and stress-free.

Step 1: Make sure your device is carrier unlocked
Ensure your phone is carrier unlocked, meaning it’s not restricted by your old carrier. If you’re unsure, check this article for help.
Step 2: Prepare your number
Make sure your phone number is active and there are no outstanding issues with your old carrier.
Step 3: Access your portal
Once logged in to your Collegiate Mobile account, navigate to the temporary line where you'll be porting in your number, then click "view details" followed by "manage" to start the transfer process.
Step 4: Initiate the transfer
Under "Your number", click "Transfer number in" and provide the necessary information from your old carrier and your phone number. Double-check your entries before submitting.
Step 5: Confirm and relax
After submitting, you’ll receive a confirmation. Collegiate Mobile will handle the rest. It may take some time and cause a brief service interruption, but soon your number will be fully transferred. Enjoy your new service plan! If you need help, contact Collegiate Mobile’s customer support.
