You can create a Property by navigating to the "Create Property" option in the Shortcut Menu.
Or by going to the Properties index in the sidebar (Properties > Properties) and finding the button.
To Edit, navigate to a Property or Unit via the search bar or index. Once on the Property or Unit, you can click Edit in the top right corner.
The Property Create & Edit Form is pretty self-explanatory. You can add as much or as little detail as you want. You can always edit a Property or Unit to change details afterwards with the exception of Property Type: Single-Unit or Multi-Unit. The minimum for creation is a Property or Unit Name, an address and whether the Property is Single-Unit or Multi-Unit. If you select Multi-Unit, the next screen will walk you through the creation of Units.
A Name can be any term that you use to organize your properties. We commonly see "pm001", "pm002", "pm003", etc. The Name can be useful as shorthand in Property or Unit lookup or search fields. Unit Names are usually their unique identifiers, like "1", "2", "A", "B", "main", "guest", etc.
For address, we use Google as a helper but you can manually type any address. For Unit addresses, be sure to give each Unit's unique address for mailing or work order purposes.
Once you've added those details, and any others you'd like to track, you can click "Create" or "Edit" in bottom right corner.
If you're creating a Property for the first time, you will be asked to create Units in the next step. If you're adding Units to an already created Multi-Unit property, you can do so by navigating to the Property and selecting "Add Unit" in the top right corner:
The Unit Create/Edit form is nearly identical to the Property Create/Edit form. You need a Name and an address. All other details are optional.
