What is StartRight?
StartRight is your year-long post-arrival guidance service that helps international students settle in the UK confidently. Once you register, you’re connected with a personal student concierge who supports you through every major setup - from GP registration and National Insurance Number (NiN) to opening a UK bank account, getting a SIM card, and learning how to manage day-to-day student life.
Your concierge stays in touch throughout the year, offering guidance on CVs and LinkedIn profiles, sharing UK living tips, and pointing you to resources for part-time jobs. Think of it as having a trusted local guide who helps you navigate everything outside the classroom. This guide will help you navigate any barriers you face while registering for StartRight, or if you need further clarification.
Step 1: How to Register for StartRight
1.Visit your Comet dashboard and click learn more on Transition Support
2.Fill out the quick Inquiry form with your name, email, and phone number then press submit.
Step 2: Payment and Onboarding
Once you’ve submitted your inquiry form, you’ll be contacted by our Team with a Payment Link. You can complete your payment using a credit/debit card or PayPal/WeChat/AliPay.
After payment, you’ll receive two emails:
A payment confirmation email instantly.
Within 24 hours, a StartRight onboarding email with:
Your personal onboarding form
You will be added to 2 WhatsApp groups, a community within StartRight and a personal group with your concierge.

After you fill out your onboarding form, the StartRight Team will message you on WhatsApp to begin your setup and guide you through your first few steps in the UK.

Your onboarding email includes your concierge’s name, WhatsApp contact, and working hours. You’ll also get a welcome message directly from them once your onboarding form is complete.
