Manage custom SKU groups

Updated over 2 months ago

Skew Groups are a powerful way to organize your catalog and filter your data the way you want to see it. You can create custom groups such as a Prime Day assortment, new product launches, or products with packaging changes. This makes it easier to analyze performance for the exact items that matter most to your business.

To manage Skew Groups, go to CommerceIQ -> Settings and select "SKU Groups"

From here you can:

  • View your existing SKU groups

  • Download an excel template of all active SKU groups

  • Import SKU groups from and excel template

  • Add SKUs one at a time through the user interface

  • Modify or delete existing SKU groups

Import SKUs using the template

There should be 4 columns namely "Group Name", "GTIN", "Product ID", "Retailer"

  1. Download the official template

  2. Click "Import SKU Groups"

  3. Prepare your file

    1. If you're using GTIN, ensure that you have put it in quotes or marked the column as text so that the csv file does not exclude the leading zeros in the GTIN values

  4. Upload the file to CommerceIQ

  5. Click "Review and Insert / Overwrite

  6. Fix errors if needed

  7. Submit the file

If an existing SKU Group name is present in the uploaded file, it will overwrite all products within that SKU Group. Otherwise only new SKU Groups will be added and nothing will be overwritten.

The assortment group will be updated in the scorecards after the weekly release (max of 7 Days). The updated SKU group will be available in data lake after 24 hours of update for the raw tables and post 7 days in the Scorecard tables in data lake.
