Charts

There are currently three kinds of charts available within CIQ's Self-service Reporting (SSR) & Analytics feature that helps users quickly conduct a what, where and why analysis and understand their business performance or diagnose an issue. The three types of charts available are:

  • Multi-time Frame Chart

  • Performance Trend Chart

  • Breakdown Chart

Multi-time Frame Chart

Multiple time-frame (MTF) analysis involves monitoring shift patterns in metrics across recent weeks/months/quarters. Unlike other charts, MTF provides users with additional context to assess business performance before and after specific events.

The MTF chart elaborates performance of a given timeframe by comparing it to previous periods. Furthermore, it helps track pacing against customer - provided Joint Success Plan (JSP) goals by breaking down year-long targets down to a day level.

It is important to note that the breakdown logic is linear, meaning it divides the target goal for a time period equally across all days.

Each report by default comes with carefully selected metrics to help analyze the overall business.

  1. Weekly Business Review: helps analyze the inbound and outbound sales

  2. Revenue Diagnostic: helps analyze the sales on the retail channel

  3. Traffic Diagnostics: helps analyze the glance views and retail media activities

  4. Unit Conversions: helps track conversions drivers and inhibitors

Performance Trend Chart

The performance trend chart is a valuable tool that displays data for one or more metrics over a selected time period by plotting trendlines. This helps in analyzing the root cause of a shift in time based trends across metrics or business segments.

By analyzing a metric’s trendline and comparing it with prior periods, users can easily spot a sudden or significant shift overtime. The ‘group by’ functionality allows users to slice the data down by business segments, identifying key contributors to the shift.

Additionally, overlaying multiple metrics enables users to identify matching patterns and draw inferences on why the shift might have occurred.

Overall, the performance trend chart is a powerful tool that enables business managers stay on top of changes in KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.

Breakdown Chart

The breakdown chart is a powerful tool for business managers, providing them with a customizable pivot table to drill down into key metrics. By comparing metrics across teams, users can quickly identify performance-driving or limiting business segments for the selected time range.

The chart allows users to review an overview of metric performance at the topmost hierarchy of the business, such as at the profile, portfolio or brand level. From there, they can expand rows to drill down the data and identify various contributors to business KPIs, as well as to key shifts in when compared to prior periods.

In addition, the breakdown chart offers users the ability to view a comprehensive summary of performance by customer’s own internal catalog via the Manage Standard Internal Catalog feature.
