6. Chart | Breakdown Layout

Updated over a year ago

The layout of the Breakdown chart can be understood as:

The Metrics panel consists of:

Rows

They represent expandable hierarchies with their names in the first column. The chart appears in a collapsed state by default and gives the topmost hierarchy selected. Users can click the right chevron (or caret ‘ ’) button in the row to expand and reveal the lower hierarchies of the chosen segment. The segments belonging to lower hierarchies are indented to the right of upper hierarchies.

At the first column header, the users can see all the hierarchies selected in the view represented as a breadcrumb (e.g. Profile > Portfolio > Campaign > SKU). Users can edit these hierarchies and their nesting using Edit. The user is constrained to select only five hierarchies.

Note: By default, 15 segments are shown for lower levels. However, user can load more data into the view by clicking on ‘View 15 more ….’ at the end of the list.

If the user has selected SKUs as the lowest hierarchies, in addition to the name, they can see the image of the SKU along with the SKU ID. The images have the badge to indicate the manufacturing/sourcing status. The SKU ID is linked to the corresponding Amazon detail page.

Columns

They represent the performance metrics. Users can select a maximum of 18 metrics and customize their order of representation from left to right using Edit.

Each cell of the table has two numbers. The one in black represents the value of the metric aggregated (e.g. OPS, Ad sales, Ad spend etc.) or averaged (e.g. CPC, ASP etc.) for all days of the time period selected using the calendar chart.

The colored numbers represent PVP (present vs. previous) i.e., the percentage change or shift when the metric value is compared to the user-selected prior period value in the calendar chart.

A green value indicates a shift in the desired direction, while red indicates a shift in an inhibiting direction.

The metric column header can be clicked to sort the whole table by column. On clicking, it opens the Sort By window which has four options, sort the table by the 'absolute' value or the pvp change of the chosen metric in ascending/descending order.

Note: The NA values are possible in PVP if the prior period values are unavailable. The cells with NA values always show up at the table's end in either ascending or descending sort by change.

At the bottom right corner of a chart you'll find a section that allows you to adjust the rows per page available and scroll between pages.

Existing charts can be deleted, repositioned, cloned, edited, and shared over email respectively as required by the user using the icons.

Cloning the existing chart places an exact copy of the chart right below it.

Editing an existing chart enables user to modify the chart name or configure metrics and time frames. The metrics within the chart can be configured by adding, deleting, or repositioning as required. This enables users to customize the report layout. Existing charts can be deleted, repositioned, cloned, and edited respectively as required by the user.

Editing the existing chart enables user to modify the chart name or configure metrics and group by dimensions for the report. The reconfiguration of metrics within the chart by adding, deleting or repositioning as required enables users to customize the report layout.

The charts can either be saved as a new chart or the changes can be applied only to the report.

Reports can be exported as an excel download and sent as an attachment via email to the logged user.

The excel export for the performance trend chart downloads all the performance metrics in the view down to the time intervals set at the plot trend line ‘roll-up’. If the user has sliced the data using group by, the exported dataset will have data down for all the group by segments available to select in the tiles of the view.
