By now you should have a complete profile and now It's time to find products and services to sell. You can search for sales opportunities by clicking on the 'Find Opportunities' button at the top of your dashboard.

Our search functionality also contains a number of filters to help you conduct more specific searches based on the sales partners you're looking for.

The Two Types Of Sales Opportunities You Should Be Looking For:

  1. Search for companies who sell products or services within your industry and can compliment your experience or existing networks.

  2. Search for products / services that compliment your existing clients and offer to pass over leads and make introductions as you discover them.

You may not wish to add permanent new product or service lines to your sales portfolio but companies will still be happy for you to refer business to them and pay you a commission for leads that turn into new business.

Example 1: Your currently sell POS systems and ask your clients what other products or services they currently require. You discover that one of your clients requires new bespoke Accounting software. You can source these companies on CommissionCrowd and contact them to agree a referral commission for making an introduction.

Example 2: You currently sell industrial cleaning products and ask your clients if they require anything for their business currently. You discover two clients that require new lighting for their warehouses. You can source these companies on CommissionCrowd and contact them to agree a referral commission for making an introduction.

Best Practices For Reaching Out To Companies

You've found the perfect sales opportunity on CommissionCrowd and now it's time to reach out and start a dialogue that leads to a successful working partnership.

Three ways to increase response rates from companies:

  1. Before sending a message, read their sales opportunity thoroughly to ensure you get a good feel for the type of sales partners they're looking for.

  2. When sending your first message you want to be personable and build rapport. Remember, CommissionCrowd is a networking platform, you wouldn't walk into a live networking event and ask someone to work with you without building rapport and becoming familiar with each other first.

  3. As the conversation develops, ask for the opportunity to set up a call to discuss the opportunity in further detail. This will allow both parties to ask, and have their questions answered before a decision is made to pursue the partnership.

  4. Follow up! If you haven't heard back from a company after a couple of days, it's a good idea to send a friendly follow up message.

TIP: Avoid copy and paste generic messages. It's very obvious when this happens and it demonstrates that you haven't taken the time to read their profile. Be personal and you'll see results much faster.
