Tags help you organize photos and pull up exactly the ones you need, whether you're searching by room, phase, or job type. Add a Tag while you're capturing photos in the field, or go back and tag photos later from your desk.
On the web
Create and edit Tags
Note: Admins and Managers can create and edit Tags. If you don't have one of these roles, ask an Admin on your account for help.
Open CompanyCam and click Tags under Resources in the left navigation menu.
Click + Create Tag.
Title your Tag and click Add Tag.
To edit a Tag, hover over its title and click the pencil icon that appears. To delete a Tag, click the three-dot icon next to it and click Delete.
Important: Deleting a Tag removes it from every photo where it was applied, and it can't be undone. If you need to use the Tag again, create a new one — it won't automatically apply to photos that had the deleted Tag.
Adding Tags to photos
Individual Photos
Click a photo to open it.
Click Add Tags on the right.
Type to search, or use the dropdown, for an existing Tag. If you have permission to create Tags, type a new Tag name and select Create Tag.
Click Save Tags once you've added everything you need.
Multiple Photos
Select the photos you want to tag by clicking the circle in the top-left corner of each photo, or by selecting a date range.
Click Actions at the top of the page and select Tag.
Search for or select the Tags you want to add, then click Tag Photos.
Remove Tags from photos
Open the photo, click Add Tags on the right, then click the X next to the Tag you want to remove and click Save Tags.
To remove Tags from multiple photos, select the photos, click Actions, and select Remove Tags. Click Remove Tags to remove them from the selected photos, or turn on the toggle to replace them with new Tags instead.
Filter photos using Tags
Open any Project, or click Photos in the left navigation menu, then click Tags and select the Tags you want to filter by. Filtering from the Photos feed searches across every Project. Filtering inside a Project only shows photos from that Project.
To find photos with no Tags, click Tags and select Untagged.
Using the Or/And Filter Tool
Open any Project, or click Photos, then click Tags and choose whether to filter your Tags by Or or And.

Open a Project and tap the photo you want to tag.
Tap the Tag icon at the bottom of the screen.
Type your new Tag and select Create. Tap Save when you're done.
To edit or delete a Tag, tap the pencil icon next to it. Make your changes and tap Save, or tap Delete Tag to remove it.
Adding Tags to photos
From the camera
Open the camera in a Project.
Tap the Tag icon in the capture tool.
Type to search, or scroll, to find the Tags you need, then tap to select them.
Tap Save once you've added everything you need.
Important: Tags stay applied to your camera session until you end the session or remove them. To remove a Tag before your next photo, tap the X on the Tag in the camera view.
Individual photos in a Project
Open a Project and tap the photo you want to view.
Tap the Tag icon at the bottom.
Type to search, or scroll, to find the Tags you need, then tap Save.
Multiple photos in a Project
Tap the Select icon.
Tap the circle on each photo you want to tag, or tap the Select icon next to a date to select every photo from that date.
Tap the three-dot icon on the bottom bar and select Tag.
Search for or select the Tags you want, then tap Save.
Remove Tags from photos
Open the photo, tap the Tag icon, then tap the X next to the Tag you want to remove and tap Save.
Note: Removing Tags from multiple photos at once is only available on the web app.
Filter photos using Tags
Open a Project, or tap Photos in the navigation menu, then tap the Filter icon next to Photos. Tap into the Tags filter, select the Tags you want, then tap Save.
Using the Or/And Filter Tool
Open a Project, or tap Photos, then tap the Filter icon. Tap into the Tags filter, select your Tags, choose Or or And, then tap Save.
