Updated this week

The COMPASS column within the Qualification Requests Table provides a centralized view of subcontractor progress. It not only tracks their current status but also defines COMPASS’s responsibility in moving subcontractors through four key action steps:

1. Registered: Subcontractor creates a COMPASS account.

2. 1Form: Subcontractor completes the prequalification form.

3. Authorization: Subcontractor authorizes the GC to view their financial data.

4. Analytics: COMPASS runs analytics on the submitted 1Form.

COMPASS is responsible for managing and driving the subcontractor’s progress through these steps.

Navigating the COMPASS Column

To access the COMPASS column:

1. Open the main menu.

2. Click on Qualification Management.

In the Qualification Requests Table, the COMPASS column displays progress and action statuses for each subcontractor. By hovering over any status, users can view:

• The current stage of COMPASS’s work.

• Next steps or areas requiring attention.

• Notes provided by the COMPASS Client Service team.

COMPASS Progress Statuses

1. In Progress

What it means:

This status indicates that COMPASS is actively managing the subcontractor and working to complete one or more of the four key steps:

Registered: Account creation in COMPASS.

1Form: Prequalification form submission.

Authorization: Granting GC financial access.

Analytics: Running analysis on submitted data.

COMPASS Responsibility:

The COMPASS team is responsible for gathering the necessary information and ensuring progress through each action step.

2. Completed

What it means:

COMPASS has successfully completed all four steps:

• Registration

• 1Form

• Authorization

• Analytics

Hover Details:

• Date of 1Form submission.

• Completion date by COMPASS.

3. Escalated

What it means:

The subcontractor’s progress has stalled due to:

• Unsuccessful attempts by COMPASS to contact the subcontractor.

• Subcontractor declining to join COMPASS or authorize GC access.

At this stage, responsibility shifts to the General Contractor (GC) to intervene.

Additional Resource:

Use the Escalations Dashboard (in the Analytics section of the main menu) for a consolidated view of all escalated subcontractors.

Hover Details:

• Date placed On Hold.

• Expected removal date.

• Reason for the hold.

• Notes provided by the COMPASS team.

Sorting the COMPASS Column

Users can sort the COMPASS column using the arrows in the table header. Sorting allows for better tracking of subcontractor progress across the four statuses:

Summary

The COMPASS column not only tracks subcontractor progress but also clearly defines COMPASS’s responsibility in completing the four action steps. By providing detailed visibility and actionable statuses, it ensures accountability and streamlined subcontractor onboarding.
