Reasons help streamline the tracking for each subcontractor within COMPASS. Each reason reflects how the subcontractor entered or remained in the system.
Start by navigating to the Qualification Management section. To do this, select the menu tab and click on Qualification Management.
In the Qualification Management section, navigating to the "Reason" column on the far right, this captures why a subcontractor has been added to COMPASS. There are 6 reasons a subcontractor can be invited.
GC Invited: "GC" refers to a General Contractor. If a subcontractor is labeled as "GC Invited" it means that they were invited in COMPASS by either the GC or by the COMPASS team
Referral Link: Indicates that the Subcontractor joined the platform via the referral link shared by the GC within the subcontractor announcement email
Auto Renewal: Indicates that the subcontractor is already in the system and their qualification was automatically renewed 30 days before expiry
Analytics: Analytics works with some GCs to add subcontractors to their qual management list if they pass certain metrics. GC must define these metrics with the COMPASS team, fully customizable with subs added under this.
Compass Suggested: Subs who the COMPASS team believes may be a good fit to work with.
Sub Requested: Subs who have met the criteria below:
Sub has authorized the GC
The sub has no active prequalification with the GC
Sub fully meets the GCs completeness metrics
COMPASS status = Completed (they have fully completed 1form, authorized the gc, have a Q Score)
The most recent qualification request was not canceled. (aka, GC didn't remove them purposely)
The sub is NOT on the GCs auto-renewal exclusion list (aka, GC not explicitly indicated they don't want to schedule renewal)
By default, GC Invited, Referral Link, Auto-Renewal and Analytics Reasons are filtered into the Qualification Requests table as these subcontractors have been explicitly invited to qualify by the General Contractor.
Both Sub Requested and COMPASS Suggested subs are not filtered in by default, as these subs can be seen as additional subs that can expand a General Contractor’s network, rather than the subs that have been explicitly invited by the General Contractors to qualify.
