Subcontractors looking to record their experiences with General Contractors now have the ability to leave reviews within COMPASS.
When leaving a review on a GC in COMPASS, the results of the review WILL NOT be shared with the General Contractor. Other subcontractors will not see details of your individual review, but will see an aggregated score of all reviews submitted on each General Contractor.
When reviewing a General Contractor, the following questions and formats are used:
Star Rating questions - rate on a scale of 1-5 stars (or N/A if the question is not applicable) for each of the following questions:
Scheduling and Change Management
Adherence to project schedule and milestones
Coordination with subcontractors and suppliers to avoid schedule disruptions
Handling of change orders and unexpected adjustments
Communication & Collaboration
Communication with subcontractors during procurement
Management and communication with subcontractors on-site
Transparency in contractual commitments, both verbal and written agreements
Effectiveness of GC’s technology choices
Payment Practices
Speed and fairness in resolving payment issues
If contract contains “Pay-if-Paid”, flexiblility in working around the provision
Ease of obtaining final payment after completion of your work
Job Site Professionalism
Oversight of work quality
Enforcement of a clean and safe work environment
Qualification and capability of other subcontractors selected on-site
Promotion of a respectful and fair workplace
Legal
Fairness in handling legal matters such as contract disputes

How to leave a Review on a General Contractor
Once logged in as a Subcontractor, Open the Menu on the top nav-bar and Click Authorization Settings to display the Authorization page.
Filter through the list of General Contractors to locate the General Contractor who will be left a review. Once located, click the View details button on the General Contractor card to open the Review Flyout.
Click Write a Review to start a review
Answer the questions/comments and click Submit to submit your review.
Your review has been successfully submitted and the aggregated scores of the GC have now been updated.
