The OSHA 300A section of the US 1Form can now be completed faster and with less effort, thanks to built-in AI-enhanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition). This smart technology reads uploaded OSHA 300A files and uses artificial intelligence to accurately extract key information. Relevant fields are then autofilled automatically, reducing manual data entry and saving time.
Autofill OSHA 300A on the US 1Form using the introduction page
Navigate to the Health and Safety section of the US 1Form.
On the introduction page, you will see a section labelled "OSHA 300A". Here, you can upload your OSHA 300A forms for any applicable years. Simply click “Add File” next to the appropriate year (e.g. 2024) and select your OSHA 300A file (PDF, PNG, JPEG, or TIFF).
Upload your most recent OSHA files by adding or dropping each one into its corresponding file drop. If you don’t see the year you’re looking for, go to the OSHA 300A page directly (via the sidebar) to upload that year’s file. You can follow the steps outlined in the section labelled "Autofill fields directly from the OSHA 300A page on the US 1Form" below.
After uploading a file, a loading bar will appear below it with the message “Extracting autofill data for you.” This means the system is processing your document to extract relevant values.
If the uploaded document doesn't contain data for the selected year, an error message will appear. In this case, delete the file and upload the correct OSHA 300A form that matches the year. The document’s reported year must align with the year you are uploading to. The error may also appear if contents in the file are not up-right. Ensure that pages in the file are not rotated.
When autofill is successful, you’ll see a green message under the file that says “Field(s) successfully autofilled.”
If you've uploaded the wrong document, simply delete the file and re-upload the correct one. Fields will be autofilled on upload. Note, re-uploading a file will overwrite fields.
Navigate to the OSHA 300A page to review the autofilled fields. Any field populated from the uploaded document will display an "*Autofilled" label below and briefly highlight in blue for quick identification.

Navigate to the OSHA 300A page found in the Health and Safety section of the US 1Form using the sidebar.
Answer "Yes" to "Are you required to submit injury and illness-related data to OSHA?".
Select your desired year using the year dropdown in any one of the empty sections on the page. If all years on the page are already filled out, click "+ Add Year" at the bottom of the OSHA 300A page.

After uploading a file, a loading bar will appear below it with the message “Extracting autofill data for you.” This means the system is processing your document to extract relevant values.

At this point, you have successfully autofilled the OSHA 300A form. If you need to make modifications to any of the autofilled values, simply click into the field and edit the value. Editing any autofilled values will remove the "*Autofilled" label from under the field. All files uploaded on the OSHA 300A page will be seen on the introduction page and vice-versa for track-keeping across submissions!
