How to Use the Map on Subcontractor Search

The Subcontractor Map is now integrated into Subcontractor Search on COMPASS. The enhanced map offers improved performance and makes it easier to navigate and locate subcontractors and their office locations in one place.

How to Use the Map

  1. Navigate to Subcontractor Search

  2. Click the button labelled "Map" to access the Subcontractor Map

    1. On load, subcontractors will be bundled together in clusters. Up to 200 subcontractors in view will appear as tiles in a dropdown menu located to the left of the map.

  3. Click and drag to move around on the map. The buttons to the right of the subcontractor list provide additional controls, such as zooming in and out:

    1. Find My Location (available if your location services are enabled)

      1. Click this button to zoom into your current location on the map.

    2. Enter Fullscreen

      1. Click this button to enter full screen mode.

    3. Zoom In

      1. Click this button to zoom into the map.

    4. Zoom Out

      1. Click this button to zoom out of the map.

    5. Reset Bearing to North

      1. Click this button to reset the map's orientation.

  4. Zoom in on the map to refine your search area and view more precise results. As you zoom in, clusters will continue to update until they resolve into individual subcontractor pins marking exact locations.

  5. Filter results on the map by clicking the Filters button above the map and applying the desired filters.

  6. Click a pin on the map or on a tile in the dropdown menu to view the subcontractor's profile card. The profile card features:
    ​

    1. A link to view the subcontractor's full profile page

    2. Tags applied to the subcontractor

    3. Q Score and Trade Rank

    4. Invite to Qualify button (if not already invited)

    5. Qualification Status

    6. Skills & Specialities

    7. Contacts (Primary and Bidding)

    8. Office Locations
