There are 3 types of user permissions on the Complete Maths platform, this article will help differentiate these while explaining what each permission can do.

On the Complete Maths platform, users can be assigned the roles of 'School Admin', 'Manager' and 'Teacher.'

What's the difference between these roles?

School Admin: Can build new academic years, and edit existing ones via their 'School Settings' tab i.e. can manage teachers, add and reassign classes, change term dates, amend teacher timetables.

Manager: Can work across every class in the institution, not just the ones they're assigned to, reviewing assessment markbooks, lesson plans, scheme of work progression. Can also create schemes of work and assign them to any of these classes. Cannot edit the academic year set up.

(On the Classes page, those with this permission will find all of their assigned classes in blue at the top, and the rest of the classes in the institution in grey underneath.)

Teacher: Able to work with any class they are directly assigned to. Can add, amend and move pupils within the institution on the Manage Pupils page.

(In most cases you only need one Admin and perhaps a couple of managers at a school with the rest of the staff as teachers.)

Are you an Admin?

An easy way to find out is by clicking on your name in the top right of your screen and a menu should open. Admin's will be able to see an option for 'School Settings' while those without Admin status will see 'Manage Pupils.'

If you are still unsure of which permissions you hold, or need to edit things, then your account's School Admin can check or change these permissions through the School Settings > Manage Teachers page.
