What is Insight?

Insight is an analytics system within CLASSROOM that can help analyse the performance of any group of pupils within CLASSROOM. You can utilise specific filters within the platform to see how student performance is changing over time as they progress through assessments and date range quizzes assigned via lessons.

How do I use Insight?

Once you click the 'Generate' button you'll be provided with analytics that represent the Metric and Data you wish to cover.

The Insight Summary uses your pupils assessment data and by default tracks pupils by Mathematical Strand, allowing to assess specific Mathematics strands and see where students may be feeling confident in a class, and other strands where students may be struggling.

If you'd like an offline version of the report you've generated, you can download the Insight report using the download symbol in the top right, indicated by the symbol in the top right corner.

There is nothing stopping you from changing the parameters of your Insight report whenever you'd like, simply revisit the Insight page and change the grouping columns to whichever format you'd like them to be presented as.

Insight for Pupils

The data provided by Insight is not just limited to classes and groups, if you want a more general view of a students progression as opposed to a whole classes, this information is also available via the 'Pupil Data' section that is located just below the class Insight table.

FAQ:

Can I track a pupils individual assessments results from Insight?

No, while Insight tracks the overall progress of a class/pupil based off of their assessment results, the individual results aren't shown here. They are, however, available for you to see on the assessment itself, as well as their revision priorities from the results of that individual assessment - more information on Assessments is available here.

I want to go back quite a considerable amount of time to track my class/students progress, how do I go back to see more months?

Simply click the blue "+" symbol next to the furthest date to generate further dates. For example, if your furthest date was March, clicking the "+" will generate the results of previous dates before March.
