Dynamic Example Questions

Understanding example questions on the Complete Mathematics platform.

Example questions, along with a selection of other support materials, are available to users once they have chosen the particular objective(s) for their lesson from the Complete Mathematics curriculum.

These example questions come in three varieties: ‘Typical’, ‘Hard’ and ‘Probing’.

  • Typical’ questions are designed to offer some guidance to the teacher on the sort of questions their pupils should be expected to answer.

  • Hard’ questions build on the ‘Typical’ questions and provide more of a challenge to the pupils.

  • Finally ‘Probing’ questions provide the teacher with questions that may challenge their pupil’s preconceptions and are intended to broaden the pupil’s knowledge.

You will also find Dynamic Example Questions which will allow users to walk through a question with a class, with help from the phased worked solution, then click ‘Regenerate’, and immediately have another version for the pupils to attempt on their own.

Plus, pupils can access these dynamic example questions within their platform, inputting (and checking) their answers along the way for excellent independent, or guided, practice.


So what’s next?

We continue to populate Complete Mathematics with further dynamic example questions across the curriculum journey, which will enable teachers to create dynamic worksheets and use example problem pairs in-class, and pupils to take dynamic pupil quizzes as a remediation activity.
