A quicker and easier way to give feedback to your pupils whilst everyone is at home.

The introduction of Voice Notes means that you can now simply record yourself giving feedback as you are viewing each submission. Your pupils can then log in and listen to this voice note.

Here's how to use the Voice Notes feature:

  1. Find a recent homework or classwork you set on the assignment page that has submission and for which you would like to leave a voice note as feedback for a pupil.

  2. Click 'View Assignment' on this assignment.

  3. Scan down the 'Submissions' column and find the pupil that you would like to leave the voice note for

  4. Click the file icon to view the pupil's submission

  5. At the top of the dialog that pops up, above the submission, there will be a microphone icon. If you click this your browser will ask you to give permission for Complete Maths to use your microphone. After accepting your voice note will start recording.

  6. Speak your feedback into your microphone, then click the microphone icon on Complete Maths again to stop the recording.

  7. You can now listen back and click the tick icon to make it available to the pupil or click the cross and record the note again.

  8. Optional last step. You could then log in as the pupil you left the voice note for to explore how they access the note. Find their details on the class' admin page.

Note: Audio recording is not currently supported by Safari, so we recommend using an alternative browser for this.
