This article will take you through adding homework and classwork to your lesson plans on the lesson page of the Complete Mathematics platform.

Note: The difference between homework and classwork is that homework is given an availability & due date, and displays on a pupil's dashboard. Classwork only appears in the lesson plan.

Here's how you do it:

  • Via the Timetable page, select a lesson, and add the appropriate objective or objectives you wish to teach.

  • Navigate to the classwork or homework tab via the left hand menu.

  • In these areas you will see all resources from the one or multiple Objectives in the lesson Classwork page.

  • Once you have chosen the resource to be given as either classwork or homework for this lesson, simply click on 'Use'.

  • You can assign it to the entire class or any pupil groups within the class e.g. low or high attainers. Find out how to create your own pupil groups here.

  • For homework: Select an Availability date and a Due date, for when the assignment is available for pupils to complete.

  • Choose whether and when your pupils will see the solutions, and add any additional instructions that are needed (e.g. "Complete work with your study partner.") & click to Create the assignment.

  • Any homework or classwork you create will appear in the relevant tab in the left hand menu, so you can quickly refer to and access it later.

  • To ensure this work is viewable to your pupils make sure to click 'Planned' on your lesson. Assignments will then show in the pupil view of the lesson plan, with homework also showing on their dashboard page.
