Pupil Tags can be used to group pupils according to their class, their teacher, their target grade, and any other metric teachers might wish to use pupils.

Creating a New Pupil Tag

  1. Navigate to the Pupils page and click on the 3-dot menu at the end of the row for the pupil you wish to tag. If you wish to tag multiple pupils at once, use the checkboxes on the left to select them.

  2. Select the option to 'Tag pupil'. This will open a new dialogue box.

  3. Click on the arrow to the right of the dropdown menu, and select 'Create New Pupil Tag'.

  4. Type in the tag you wish to use, e.g. the name of their maths class, and then click 'Create tag'.

  5. The tag you just created will now appear in the dropdown menu - click 'Tag pupil' to assign the tag to the pupil or pupils you have selected.

Assigning an Existing Tag

  3. Click on the arrow to the right of the dropdown menu, and select the tag you wish to use.

  4. Click 'Tag pupil' to assign the tag to the pupil or pupils you have selected.

Once you have assigned tags to pupils, you can then filter the Pupils table using these tags - click on the 'Tags' dropdown menu in the top right of the screen and select the tags you wish to filter by.

You can assign multiple tags to pupils, and to remove tags simply select 'Untag Pupil' in the 3-dot menu at the end of that pupil's row.
