Along with Teachers being able to view a pupils Maths Universe, Pupils can also view their own Maths Universe to see a visual representation of how they are progressing through the Complete Maths curriculum.

Here's how the Mathematical Universe on TUTOR works:

  1. When a Pupil logs into TUTOR they'll land on their Dashboard

  2. Under 'My Mathematical Universe' title, there will be a button called 'EXPLORE'

  3. Click this button to enter the Mathematical Universe

The landing page of the Mathematical Universe displays your current Universe. Here we can see the goals a Pupil has completed, highlighted in dark green, goals they have encountered, highlighted in light green and goals a Pupils is still yet to encounter, coloured white.

  • The Pupil can zoom in or out using the scroll on their mouse.

  • By clicking the ticked location button the Pupil can view the latest goal they encountered

  • In the top left of the Mathematical Universe display, the Pupil can change the view from 'My Universe' to 'My Courses' or 'Maths Universe'

My Courses

The 'My Courses' view displays all the goals a Pupil will encounter if they complete all of the courses they are currently enrolled on. The nodes are similarly colour coded as in the previous display.

  • In the second dropdown at the top left of the 'My Mathematical Universe' display, the Pupil can change the nodes shown to just display one course or a combination of any courses they are enrolled on.

Complete Maths Universe

Here the pupil can see the entire Complete Maths Mathematical Universe of Goals, an interconnected journey covering 13 years of learning.

What happens next?

As the pupil progresses through the Complete Maths courses their Universe will grow and they will be able to see how everything they have covered interconnects, and what is coming next.
