What is an EIN?

An Employer Identification Number (EIN) is a unique identifier assigned to your LLC by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), which is a segment of the federal government

This number serves as a means for the IRS to recognize your business, analogous to how a Social Security Number is used to identify an individual. The EIN can be thought of as your business's "registration number" with the IRS.

It's important to remember that an EIN is exclusively provided by the IRS and not by the Florida Secretary of State or SunBIZ.
