The Business Edge has several ranking reports to help you analyze your sales by Product. You can rank your sales by Net Sales, Gross Profit or Percentage of Gross profit. You could get very different results based on the report that you run.

The one we will look at in detail here is the Net Sales Ranking Report, which is located in the menu below.

If you would like to see the ranking for only a particular classification of products you are able to chose to sequence the report by Classification and choose one classification or a range of classifications on the first page of the report parameters shown below

Gross Profit Ranking

This report will present the Gross Profit Ranking for a selected date range. You can enter the number of Products to rank and sort by highest to lowest or lowest to highest. There is a “percentage column options” field and the choices are to show percentage ranking by percent of all sales, percent of report sales, or don’t print percentage. The optional columns for this report are: rank, product code, description, salesperson, net sales, gross profit, percentage of product and percentage of report product.

Percent Gross Profit Ranking

This report will present products based on the Percentage of Gross Profit for products within a selected date range. You can enter the number of Products you would like to rank and sort by highest to lowest or lowest to highest. There is a percentage column options field and the choices are to show percentage ranking by percent of all Sales, percent of report Sales, or don’t print percentage. The optional columns for this report are: rank, product code, description, salesperson, net sales, gross profit, percentage of product and percentage of report product.
