The Business Edge has added a feature which allows you to add an Estimated Freight charge to your Quotes and Orders. The Estimated Freight charge can be added on the heading information in Enter & Edit Orders as shown below:

The Business Edge also offers you the option to print the Estimated Freight amount on your documents. (This will require a form change). If the Estimated Freight amount is set to print on your forms, it will not calculate into the order total. Estimated Freight amount can be viewed in an Order Inquiry for reference purposes as well. In an Order Inquiry after the Order number is selected you will see the Estimated Freight amount under the shipping information heading as seen below:

The Estimated Freight amount will not automatically carry over to the invoice since the Estimated Freight is meant for Quoting and reference purposes only. When you are creating an Invoice, you will see the Estimated Freight amount directly above the freight charge field. At the point of Invoice creation, you can enter the actual freight charges in the Freight Charges fields as shown below:

This new feature is a system flag and can be turned on by changing the Estimated Freight amount flag to YES, which can be found here on page seven of the order entry flags:
